Rep. Faulkingham: Protecting Maine’s elections is not a partisan issue
…When viewing a campaign ad, Mainers shouldn’t have to read the fine print to understand if the message is being promoted by foreign governments looking to advance a foreign agenda. Leaving this dangerous loophole open is un-American and a threat to national security. Thankfully, the Protect Maine Elections initiative provides us with the opportunity to take matters into our own hands to solve this problem ourselves.
Regardless of where you land on the political spectrum, I am confident that we can come together to make the Protect Maine Elections referendum a reality by seeking out a petition to sign today, and visiting the website at protectmaineelections.com to learn more about this important initiative.
Republican Rep. Billy Bob Faulkingham, a commercial fisherman from Winter Harbor, is the state representative for House District 136.
